Overview

Winchester Hospital has 20 clinical locations. In addition to the main campus at 41 Highland Avenue in Winchester, the largest are the Family Medical Center in Wilmington, which includes a walk-in center; Baldwin Park I and II in Woburn, where the Community Health Institute, Imaging Center and Breast Care Center are located; Riverside Associates in Medford, which houses our Wound Healing/Hyperbaric Center and diabetes and weight management programs; and our state-of-the-art Center for Cancer Care and ambulatory surgery center located at 620 Washington St. in Winchester. The hospital serves the residents of Winchester and more than 15 surrounding communities. Winchester Hospital is one of the leading community hospitals in the Boston area, with a full range of inpatient and outpatient services including medical, surgical, pediatric, obstetrical, and intensive care. The Hospital also operates a home care service and many specialty programs which are designed to improve the health of the communities we serve.

Winchester Hospital has clinical affiliations with several nationally recognized hospitals in the region, including Boston Children’s Hospital, Tufts Medical Center and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

Awards

Winchester Hospital is the first community hospital in Massachusetts to earn Magnet® recognition. As the northwest suburban Boson area’s leading provider of comprehensive health care services, our 229-bed facility provides care in general, bariatric and vascular surgery, orthopedics, cardiology, pulmonary medicine, oncology, radiation oncology, gastroenterology, urology, gynecologic urology, rehabilitation, pain management, obstetrics/gynecology, pediatrics and a Level IIB Special Care Nursery.  Winchester Hospital has been named to the Boston Business Journal's Best Places to Work List since 2003. In both 2008 and 2009 we were ranked #1 on their Large Employer List - the first time the same organization won two years in a row. We also ranked #1 in the Boston Globe's first Top Places to Work contest in 2008, and #2 in 2009.To date we continue to place in the top 12 of both lists. In our 2012 bi-annual Employee Partnership Survey, we ranked in the 93rd percentile of all healthcare organizations our size in the nation who participated in the survey, and in the 99th percentile among healthcare organizations in our region.
