Most NBH employees are eligible for benefits at time of hire.
NBH maintains relationships with tertiary care centers including Baystate Health Systems (Baystate Medical Center) in Springfield, Massachusetts, and Massachusetts General Hospital, our partner in a cutting-edge telestroke program.
NBH care providers are proud of the marks of distinction we earn from accrediting organizations such as The Joint Commission, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, and others.
Additionally, North Adams Regional Hospital recently was recognized with three awards of achievement from the American Heart Association for continuing achievement in the Get With The Guidelines program. Get With the Guidelines helps ensure that patients treated and discharged receive quality care in accordance with guidelines that will reduce the risk of secondary events.
NARH’s cancer program in 2008 earned approval with commendation from the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons.
We are a charter member of the National Patient Safety Foundation’s “Stand Up For Patient Safety” program.
NARH is a designated stroke treatment center in Massachusetts, thanks to a state-of-the-art telemedicine system that meets strict standards for treatment of stroke patients.
