Some highlights of our organization include:
A Top Place to Work.
South Shore Hospital has been named one of the Top Places to Work in Massachusetts in the third annual employee- based survey project from the Boston Globe. The Top Places to Work program recognizes the most progessive companies in the state, based on employee opinions about company leadership, compensation and training, diversity/inclusion, career development, family-friendly flexibility, and values and ethics.
Our commitment to nursing excellence.
South Shore Hospital has achieved Magnet® recognition for excellence in nursing services by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC) Magnet Recognition Program®. South Shore Hospital is now part of the exclusive “five percent club” — only five percent of all hospitals nationwide have achieved Magnet recognition. South Shore Hospital is only the seventh Massachusetts hospital to receive Magnet recognition, and is currently the only Magnet hospital in Southeastern Massachusetts.
The professional practice environment for nurses at South Shore Hospital is shaped collaboratively by our leadership, our direct care givers and in partnership with our clinical and non-clinical colleagues. Being a nurse here means being caring, committed, and involved through shared governance, ongoing learning and clinical competence.
