Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital is one of rural Minnesota’s few non-profit, independent, multi-specialty healthcare facilities. The clinic and hospital employs nearly 600 employees and 40 physicians, including new specialists in Orthopedics, Urology and Pediatrics.

In December 2005 Grand Itasca began a new era in healthcare delivery with the opening of our new integrated clinic and hospital facility. This 183,000 square foot facility, located on 76 scenic acres along the Mississippi River provides space for both clinic and hospital services. The hospital component of Grand Itasca has 64 beds: 14-bed Acute Rehabilitation unit, 10-bed Intensive Care Unit, 13-bed Women's Health and Birth Unit, 27-bed Medical/Surgical/Pediatric Unit, and an Emergency Department that averages 12,000 visits on an annual basis. The new facility has five operating rooms; currently averaging between 200-300 surgical cases per month, and has updated digital imaging technology with a new state-of-the-art 64-slice CT Scanner and MRI machine. Filmless Radiology service, including orthopedic diagnostics and templating, was installed in 2005.
