Our mission is to provide the highest standards of care to patients with endocrine disorders, to understand the basis of endocrine diseases and normal endocrine physiology through research, and to use this knowledge to improve the lives of patients by developing more effective and selective medical treatments for endocrine and metabolic diseases. We are also committed to passing on our knowledge and expertise to generations of future physicians through our fellowship program.
The ideal candidate will have experience and expertise in neuroanatomy as demonstrated by peer-reviewed publications. S/he must have demonstrated ability to collect, analyze and organize data and to write scientific papers either independently or as a team member, to present results in professional settings, and to contribute to research proposals. Must possess a willingness to work collaboratively in a productive manner with other scientists, and a desire and ability to obtain independent funding from government or commercial sources are essential.
REQUIREMENTS:
PhD degree is required.
Neuroanatomy or neurology skills.
Experience in histochemistry and molecular biology.
Excellent computer skills, familiarity with windows.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to identify potential problems and develop solutions. Ability to work with others.
Physiology of neuroendocrine systems, histochemistry, microscopy, small animal handling, genotyping, basic molecular biology techniques preferred.
