Prepares patient for exams as required and insures patient comfort and modesty at all times. Performs mammography procedures according to department procedure using standard mammography equipment to apply prescribed ionizing radiation in order to assist physicians in the screening, diagnosis and treatment of patients. Performs related tasks such as assisting patients in positioning for correct anatomical exposure, maintaining order and cleanliness of work area and performing routine clerical tasks. Works as technologist and performs duties in other areas and/or modalities as necessary.
Qualifications: Completion of a 24-month AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology. ARRT certification in Radiology as well as Mammography, RTR (M) licensure in Commonwealth Massachusetts. Meets all requirements of FDA/MQSA (Mammography Quality Standards Act) to include meeting the MQSA CE (continuing education) requirements.
Minimum 2 years prior mammography experience. This position also requires general radiology and bone density experience.
All necessary active licenses to take care of mammography, general radiology and bone densitity patients (including Pedi & Geriatric).
Self motivated, self directed, independent, excellent customer service skills (required) (Hours: M & Wed 12:30 - 7:30, Fri 9:30 - 5PM)
