Under the direction of the Registered Nurse and/or Licensed Practical Nurse, responsible for organizing all cases that remain on the OR schedule for the day, as well as any add-on cases. Does daily diagnostics of equipment, cleans and runs biologicals on all sterilizers on a weekly basis. Work with Central Materials to ensure Operating Room is stocked with proper instrumentation. High school diploma or equivalent required. Requires one year previous experience in a clinical or medical assistant position in a medical setting. Previous Sterile Processing or experience with surgical instrumentation preferred. Knowledge of basic medical terminology. Basic computer skills required.
