Job Description
This position reports to the Workforce Planning & Analytics Manager and receives direction and guidance from both the Workforce Planning & Analytics Manager and the Director of Benefits. This position conducts and/or assists in analytical projects and studies for the delivery of relevant and meaningful statistical, operational and administrative information in support of management analysis and decision making processes. Responsible for system-wide Human Resources analytics related to HR metrics, workforce analytics tools and reporting, and benefits research, analytics tools and reporting. Will manage multiple data exchanges from incoming data feeds and data collection from internal and external sources.
Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, plus minimum of four years related experience, including data analysis preferably in a Human Resources or Finance setting is required. Masters in Science or MBA is highly desirable.
Proven applied knowledge in statistical methods and statistical software applications. Ability to analyze qualitatively and quantitatively required. Technology and analysis experience within a healthcare setting is strongly desired. HRIS (Human Resources Information System) knowledge and/or financial modeling experience preferred. Prior working experience in benefits administration and/or Financial modeling preferred. Predictive modeling experience preferred.
Must be knowledgeable in the fundamentals of systems analysis, and human resources reporting. Must have expert proficiency with MS Office suite, including Excel and Access. Recent minimum one year direct database design and development and in writing and building reports using reporting software products Programming knowledge a plus as well as knowledge of basic statistical process control techniques and programs). Knowledge of web based design tools a plus.
Must have the ability to learn the characteristics of new systems and have the update skills to adapt to changing technology. Must have the ability to express complex concepts clearly and concisely both orally and in writing so non-technical end users can understand. Must have effective communication skills for making presentations, and writing reports, proposals, instructions, and training materials. Must demonstrate ability to present ideas and information effectively in group settings.
Good project skills: planning, estimation, and tracking, required. Must possess excellent follow through and initiative and ability to manage time, set priorities, and meet deadlines appropriately. Fundamental knowledge of hospital business operations, objectives and strategies as well as business process and information flow strongly desired.
