Job Description
Conducts security patrols. Performs traffic duties. Conducts investigations. Makes lawful arrests in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws and Hospital Policy. Provides court testimony if necessary.
Qualifications: Equivalent to high school education plus addition specialized courses. Minimum of three years of prior law enforcement experience required. Must have good communication skills and be able to deal with the general public. Must also be able to work under sometimes-stressful conditions and maintain a calm composure.
Minimum of 3 years of law enforcement experience (Required), Ability to obtain MA Special State Police Powes under CH 22C Sec. 63(Required), Class A License to carry firearms in MA (Required)
Officers must have academy training and stay current under MGL CH 22C SEC 63. First Responder, CPR, Drivers License, OCAT and inservice classes required. Class A license to carry firearms in Massachusetts required. Officers must successfully complete the annual firearms training.
