Job Description
Performs a variety of routine procedures with the collection, receiving and/or processing of laboratory requisitions and specimens, the performance of technical procedures involving technical and data entry duties.
Qualifications: High School graduate with minimum of 3 years experience in clinical laboratory or hospital registration area; familiarity with data entry and/or word processor and medical terminology. Experience in ICD-9 coding preferred.
Recent Central Processing experience and Meditech Registration preferred. Must be able to type 45 wpm. May be required to travel/work at other sites: Univ, Mem, Hahn, etc. If a qualified candidate can't be found, the dept will consider hiring at a lower grade.
