Job Description
Participates as a member of the mental health team on an inpatient Mental Health Unit. Provides direct patient care including treatment planning, implementing plans, evaluating treatment, documentation, and milieu activities such as group activities.
Qualifications: Equivalent to an Associates Degree in Psychology or Human Services and two years experience in a health related field. Successful completion of a recognized phlebotomy training program or prior documented experience performing phlebotomy is preferred. Demonstrates the ability to remain calm when under stress or in emergency situations. Ability to communicate effectively with other members of multidisciplinary teams both verbally and in writing. Ability to work in a team setting and in group situations. Must be able to assist in the physical restraint of disturbed patients.
