Job Description
Collects blood specimens by venipuncture and capillary from patients. Perform EKG, pulse oximetry, and point-of-care testing on inpatients and outpatients as required.
Qualifications: High School graduate with successful completion from a recognized program for training in phlebotomy or prior documented experience perform phlebotomies. Basic life support certification required within 3 months of employment and maintenance of annual competencies in BLS. May be required to travel/work at other sites: Univ, Mem, Hahn. etc.
LOCATION:IOP-EM Kennedy Health Ctr - Framingham; and/or other sites as assigned - Currently not scheduled to work weekends & holidays - may do so in the future. Reliable & able to work independently with minimal supervision / required. Demonstrates professionalism when dealing with patients, physicians, and coworkers / Required. Computer skills (to include but not lilmited to: email / excel / word / LIS-Meditech / phys.IS system are desired. Spanish is perferred.
