The Division of Women's Cancer-Breast Onoclogy Center is currently recruiting for a Clinical Admin Support Specialist. This position is responsible for all aspects of patient schedulingin accordance withscheduling guidelines.This positionrequires superior customer service to all patients, family members, physicians and staff at all times in accordance with the DFCI Customer Service Standards.The Clinical Admin Support Specialist is assigned to work with a clinical practitioner group consisting of physicians, physicians assistants, technical supervisors, technical staff, program nurses and nurse practitioners and other care providers, the individual in this position will play a critical role in facilitating all aspects of patient care.

Clinical Administrative Support Specialist, underthe direction of the clinical practice support management team, provides appointment scheduling ranging in complexity from one physician appointment to multiple care provider appointments in accordance with department scheduling guidelines for new and/or existing patients. Job Qualifications:

The candidate for the Clinical Administrative Support Specialist position will have an Associates degree and/or 2-4 years equivalent experience required.Bachelors degree preferred. Experience working in a medical or customer service setting preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

The candidate will have a strong ability to multi-task and function as an integral member of the Breast Oncology team.Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Excellent computer, customer service and problem solving skills required. Demonstrated ability to carry out complex scheduling as required.Demonstrated ability to draft complex reports, correspondence and other administrative documents pertaining to patient schedulingand other needs.

This position entailspatient contact and communication.Methods of contact are via telephone, written letter or email. This position requires the candidate to beable to operate a computer, keyboard and standard office equipment required.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; sit; walk; use hands to handle objects and office supplies; reach with hands and arms.

Full-time, 40 hour/week.

Hours: 8:30AM - 5:00PM
