Job Summary:
There is an immediate opening for a Research Scientist in a medicinal chemistry/chemical biology group focused on the discovery and optimization of small-molecule probes and lead therapeutics for epigenetic targets.  Responsibilities of this position will include the multi-step synthesis of complex small molecules, analog design, scale-up of key intermediates, library synthesis, compound characterization and careful documentation of work.  The chemist will work as part of a team, but also execute synthetic routes and trouble shoot synthetic problems independently.

Job Qualifications:
The qualified candidate will have a B.S. or M.S. in chemistry with a research background in organic/medicinal chemistry.  The candidate must be experienced with frequently used analytical techniques and chemistry software (NMR, HPLC, MS, TLC, SciFinder, ChemDraw).  2-5 years experience post-graduation is preferred, although new graduates with an exceptional research background will be considered.  Excellent communication and writing skill are a plus.
