Under the direction of the Director of the Perioperative Service, and in collaboration with our Orthopedic Co-Managers, the Nurse Manager has 24–hour responsibility for the effective implementation of the philosophy, goals, policies and procedures of the Hospital and their effect on patient care in the 1) Orthopedic Pre-Surgical Evaluation Unit, 2) the Orthopedic Perioperative Surgical Center and 3) the Pain Management Clinic . In collaboration with the Orthopedic Co-Management Team, the Nurse Manager has authority to make decisions on these units in the areas of patient care, human resource and financial management. 

Qualifications

BSN required. MS preferred. Current Mass RN license required.  Prefer ten (10) years clinical experience and a minimum of five (5) years of management experience.  Operating Room experience required.  Orthopedic, Pain Management and/or Ambulatory Service Center experience preferred.  Effective communication skills, as well as the ability to interact well with people, to problem solve, to confront/resolve issues, to self- motivate, to motivate colleagues, to plan, to lead, to organize and to direct activities and initiatives.
