Under the direction and guidance of the Patient Access Service's Director, the Manager of Patient Access Services provides support and oversight for all operations delegated to them within in the Patient Access Department. Directs supervisors and staff who deal with all Patient Access Services.
Two (2) years of college required; Bachelors degree preferred. Life Experiences will be considered. Minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience preferred. It is a plus if this experience has been in other areas of health care operations. Five (5) years of Patient Access experience preferred. Must be able to teach, motivate and direct staff in a 24 hour operation. Strong Computer Skills. Planning and Budgeting Skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate effectively. Exemplary Customer Service Skills. Knowledge of Performance Improvement Tools. Experience w/ JCAHO.
