Job Description

The senior clinical dietitian will work as an integral part of the Weight Center care team providing support for both surgical and non surgical patients. Experience reviewing clinical and pychosocial information to formulate individualized nutrition care plans is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to facilitate dynamic group discussions are required. Basic computer skills (email, calendar, spreadsheets, and Word documents) are also required.
Qualifications: Bachelor Degree from ADA approved four year program in Food and Nutrition or related field required. Master's Degree in Nutrition, Science, Business or related field preferred. Current registration with Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR), and Massachusetts State Licensure is required. Minimum of two years responsible experience as a Registered Dietitian. The senior level position also requires an additional specialized nutrition certification: (e.g. Certified Diabetic Educator; Certified Nutrition Support Clinician, or certification in a distinct specialty such as: Metabolic Disorders, Transplant, or other specialty). Ability to influence the quality of patient care, in an advisory capacity to the physician and other health care team members. Demonstrated skill in analyzing problems and making decisions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential to interact with patients, staff, and referring providers. Strong computer skills. Experience with bariatric surgery patients, diabetes or additional specialized dietitian certification preferred, Experience in a academic medical center settings preferred.
