Job Description
Collects blood specimens by venipuncture and capillary from patients. Perform EKG, pulse oximetry, and point-of-care testing on inpatients and outpatients as required.
Qualifications: High School graduate with successful completion from a recognized program for training in phlebotomy or prior documented experience perform phlebotomies. Basic life support certification required within 3 months of employment and maintenance of annual competencies in BLS. May be required to travel/work at other sites: Univ, Mem, Hahn. etc.
Required: Reliable & able to work independently with minimal supervision / required. Demonstrates professionalism when dealing with patients, physicians, and coworkers / Required.
LOCATION: 100 MLK /Worcester, OR OTHER SITES AS ASSIGNED. Currently not scheduled to work weekends & holidays - may do so in the future. Basic computer skills desired.
