Job Description
Collaborates with all members of the Patient Access and Capacity Management Center to insure timely access to inpatient services at UMMMC. Coordinates timely bed placement activities for a defined shift. Works to increase referral services and referring physician/facility satisfaction. As part of the Patient Access and Capacity Management Team actively participates in strategic planning, implementation, evaluation and revision of systems related to patient placement to enhance patient flow and capacity between campuses. Manages and coordinates the work responsibilities for the department to assure optimal patient flow and satisfaction.
Qualifications: Bachelors degree in nursing and current Massachusetts Registered Nurse license. Minimum of 5 years Emergency, or intensive care clinical experience preferred. Demonstrates leadership experience. Excellent verbal, written and computer skills required.
