Performs duties requiring advanced level secretarial and administrative support skills to assist the head of a division or corporate function. Assists executives by relieving them of details and administrative duties. Work is of a confidential nature requiring a broad understanding of UMMHC policies and practices; requires expediting critical matters and effectively interfacing with all levels. High level contacts require the use of considerable discretion, judgment, tact and diplomacy. May attend high level meetings of committees / boards in the capacity of recording secretary. Arranges a wide variety of meetings, events, activities and conferences. May coordinate the work of secretarial and clerical staff.
This position supports the Chief Administrative Officer / Vice President of the Administrative Services Group. This expert level candidate must be a self starter, with strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Candidate will be resourceful, energetic and efficiently and effectively be able to manage multiple priorities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Extensive proficiency with Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point required.
Qualifications: Requires an Associates Degree in Secretarial Science or equivalent and 3-5 years of secretarial/administrative support experience. Software used: Word processing, spreadsheet, presentation graphics, database. Additional applications software such as for project management, scheduling, budgetary control, etc. may also be used.
