Job Description
This Position reports to the Sr Director, Payroll Services and will have primary responsibility for technical support for the use of the Payroll application at UMMHC. This will include providing support for all of the entities that use the system designated payroll application at the UMass Memorial Health Care System. The support includes but is not limited to, review and documentation of current procedures to determine where more efficient methods may be implemented and work with the Payroll team to implement improved procedures.
Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent. Masters degree preferred. Must have a minimum of 8 years experience with proven ability to perform database management, reporting functions, and project management. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills required to interface between technical and non-technical personnel. Demonstrated analytical, decision making, problem solving, multi-tasking, and prioritization abilities required. Extensive working experience in Payroll overseeing system interfaces is required. Working knowledge of relational databases and ERP solutions such as Oracle or PeopleSoft are required. Familiarity with the IBM AS400 platform, Query400, and Payroll applications, such as Infinium Softwares modules, are a plus. Working knowledge of a PC database management system, such as MS ACCESS, and query tools are essential. Familiarity with the MS Office Suite of desktop tools is required.
