Working with senior leaders and department leaders, associate director for internal communications is responsible for managing the way in which the organization communicates with staff, through the development of overall internal messaging, project-specific communications planning, and oversight of specific communications channels. As a senior member of the ECS team, the associate director will supervise communications project managers and also be responsible for managing his/her own initiatives, projects and channels as they develop. The position is also responsible for the editorial development (idea generation, creative planning, content creation) of select projects and publications. The position requires a combination of communications planning skills, project management expertise, editorial proficiency, and staff management and mentoring ability. The associate director should have the ability to interact with administrators at all levels.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:



Job Qualifications

Qualifications include a bachelor's degree plus at least 10 years of strong writing, editing, and project management experience, preferably in employee communications within healthcare, academic or corporate organizations.
