The Assistant Director works with Development Marketing colleagues and the Director and oversees the Gift Planning marketing program and manages 150-200 Gift Planning donors and prospects, assigned primarily to the North Shore and New Hampshire. The Assistant Director is expected to complete 65-70 prospect visits during FY’13; oversee the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship strategies, and travel as appropriate.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus 5-7 years of experience in development. The ability to generate gifts in the range of $5,000 to $1,000,000+ and knowledge of gift planning vehicles, IRS regulations, and estate planning and investment strategies. Demonstrated success in donor relations; strong organizational skills and detail management; excellent oral presentation and written communication skills; and the ability to work with a variety of constituencies and Institute staff. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information. Ability to work closely with legal professionals and with complicated instruments.
This is a full time position, Monday - Friday 8:30 - 5:00. Some weekend and evening hours may be required.
