The person in this job is responsible for the sanitation and sterilization of animal caging systems that are required to maintain a high level rodent colony health program. The ability to perform all duties while strictly adhering to established SOPs and in compliance with local, state, federal and institutional guidelines and regulations is a requirement. Basic computer skills are needed for computerized record keeping in accordance with established procedures (i.e. ViewPort system for vivarium management, data collection, and computerized autoclave and cage wash logs).
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS: (Education, certifications, years of experience)
High school diploma or GED certification is required. One year of experience is preferred but eager candidates without experience will be considered. AALAS technician certification at the ALAT or above is preferred but not required
Schedule
M-F, 7:30-4:00 and work holidays/weekends as needed
