The Adult Women's Cancer Center Physician Assistant is responsible for assisting the Program attending physicians in the medical management of breast and GYN inpatient oncology patients and patients admitted for elective chemotherapy. The PA has expert knowledge of inpatient general medicine and inpatient medical breast and GYN oncology. Incorporating knowledge of general internal medicine and medical complications unique to breast and GYN oncology is emphasized. In addition, the PA is an intricate member of our inpatient PA services and will have the opportunity to collaborate and cross train with the inpatient heme onc/bone marrow transplant teams. The PA also works closely the physician and nursing staff in developing and coordinating a plan of care designed to meet the physical, psychological and social needs of patients and their families. Job Qualifications

Specific license/certification/registration required to perform the job.
a. NCCPA certified
b. Graduate of AAPA/NCCPA accredited Physician Assistant Studies Program
c. License as a Physician Assistant in Massachusetts
d. Maintain current DEA and Massachusetts Controlled Substance Licenses
e. Complete 100 hours of CME according to national and state regulations during each 2 year period of employment.



Schedule

40 hours per week.
