We are seeking an intelligent, creative, and collegial post-doctoral research fellow to join a laboratory at the cutting edge of genomic and functional work on human cancer and infectious disease. Research areas include cancer genome discovery, computational analysis of the cancer genome, discovery of pathogens responsible for cancer and other human diseases, functional analysis of novel cancer genes or pathogens, mechanistic analysis of cancer therapeutic targets including protein kinases and histone modifying enzymes, and systematic cell biological approaches. Our group has particular expertise in the study of human lung cancer with all of these approaches



Job Qualifications

We are seeking M.D. or Ph.D. candidates with the following backgrounds.

For Ph.D. candidates:

--Completion or expected completion of Ph.D. in 2012 or 2013.

-- Ph.D. dissertation research may be either in biological sciences, in computational/mathematical sciences, or at the interfaces of these disciplines. Particular areas of interest include experimental molecular biology, cancer cell biology, experimental and computational genomics, and mathematical statistics.

For M.D. candidates:

--Completion or expected completion of clinical training in 2012 or 2013.

--In addition to medical and pediatric hematology and oncology, candidates with specialty/subspecialty training in pathology, endocrinology, pulmonology, rheumatology/immunology, infectious disease, gastroenterology, cardiology, dermatology, and neurology are also particularly invited to apply.



Schedule

This is a full time, 40 hour per week position.
