The Donor Services Specialist acts as a point-person for 2,000+ annual gift-related inquires from donors, staff and other parties received via phone, email, fax, USPS and other vehicles; provides highest level of quality customer service. Additionally, the Donor Services Specialist thoroughly investigates all gift-related issues and responds to all inquiries on behalf of DFCIs Division of Development within one business day of initial contact.

• Serves as the primary contact person for DFCIs gift acknowledgment letter print vendor responsible for preparing 170,000 letters annually; works efficiently with print vendor and appropriate Development staff to resolve any related issues on a daily basis.
• Manages inventory of acknowledgement letter stationery; releases stationery volumes as needed to external acknowledgment letter print vendor; works with Development Marketing to ensure sufficient quantities of stationery are on hand at all times to fulfill acknowledgement letter printing needs;
• Prepares all custom acknowledgements and notifications issued by Development Fiscal & Regulatory Management, including but not limited to re-issues of tax receipts;
• Provides administrative support related to donor services;
• Completes ad-hoc donor services-related projects;
• Periodically reviews acknowledgement letter matrix and templates to ensure accuracy and assists Data Integrity with testing for letter changes;
• Assist Data Input with gift processing in PledgeMaker and Sphere as needed and especially at peak periods of gift volume;
• Assist Data Integrity with gift proofing, training, opt outs, merge requests, and deceased notifications on an ongoing basis as needed;
• Responsible for assisting the entire Division, including business units, with reaching financial goals; and
• Maintain highest level of donor confidentiality and accountability.
