DFCIs Mobile Mammography program seeks to reduce disparities in breast cancer incidence, mortality and access to quality care experienced by women of racial, ethnic and other minority populations in the City of Boston. In partnership with neighborhood health centers and community-based organizations, DFCI¿s Mobile Mammography program provides mammography screening and breast health education to all women, with a priority on serving medically underserved women that reside in our priority neighborhoods in Boston.
Under direct supervision of the Supervisor of Breast Imaging and in collaboration with the Community Benefits Department, the Program Manager leads the day-to-day operations of the DFCI mobile van program and community health center imaging site. This position requires knowledge of Institutes practices and policies and maintains compliance with all state and federal regulations. Also serves as a liaison internally and externally to provide comprehensive mammography services with a special focus on medically underserved neighborhoods of Boston.
Associates degree required, Bachelors degree and higher preferred. Applicants with significant experience in a health care setting encouraged to apply.
Detail and systems oriented; strong organizational, interpersonal, team building and community relations skills. Willing to take initiative to identify areas for program improvement, recommends and implements changes. Has strong capacity for multitasking and prioritizing responsibilities in a fast-paced and diverse environment.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversees and manages day-to-day operations of the mobile mammography and community health center; registration of patients; billing, reports and result letter distribution; film management; follow-up tracking and data collection; and supervision of office staff.
Participates in budgeting process.
Manages the scheduling and staffing configuration of the mammography van health center sites.
Oversees the management of the systems used to generate reports and to monitor and track follow up of all abnormal findings.
Maintains strict compliance with all state and federal regulations including regulations issued by the Mass. Dept. of Public Health Division of Radiation Control and accreditation by the American College of Radiology and the Joint Commission.
Oversees medical audit process and reports findings to Director of Breast Imaging and the Supervisor of Breast Imaging in a timely manner.
Oversees follow-up data collection from community sites and hospitals to report on follow-up statistics and maintains the cancer diagnoses database.
Identifies opportunities for technical/operational assistance to community partners ensure optimal outcomes and success of the screening days.
Serves as liaison to Development office.
Monday-Friday, day shift.
Some Saturdays may be required.
