As part of the multidisciplinary Oncology, contributes to the Hospitals mission by providing expertise in clinical genetics, its best practices and ethical issues and counseling and communicating with patients/clients regarding genetic testing procedures and results. This clinical staff position will have an impact on improving quality and patient satisfaction by providing accurate and empathetic genetic counseling services. This position will also have an impact on the hospitals fiscal stability by growing its genetic services throughout the community. Masters degree in genetic counseling required. 5 years experience in genetic counseling with at least 2 of those years in Oncology genetic counseling. Experience in developing genetic counseling policies and procedures preferred. Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to present to groups and individuals and market the program. Massachusetts State Registered Nurses license preferred & Certified Genetic Counselor preferred.
