This position will work in the Multiple Myeloma Program, Bing Center for Waldenstrom's Macroglobulinemia, supporting the research team in the overall conduct of clinical trials using Good Clinical Practice under the auspices of the Principal Investigator. The Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) will be responsible for coordination and management of assigned clinical trials, including communication with Sponsors and regulatory authorities. The CRC is responsible for the primary data collection and management of patient clinical information as it pertains to participation in clinical trials, collecting medical data from paper and electronic sources. The CRC will also be responsible for ensuring timely collection of protocol related samples including shipment to outside entities as required; maintaining regulatory binders, ensuring study compliance with all state, federal, and IRB requirements. The CRC may have contact with patients - distributing protocol schedules, Quality of Life surveys, study related questionnaires and subject diaries. This individual will also participate in Quality Control and Quality Improvement initiatives.
Bachelor's degree preferred, 0-2 years of related experience preferred. Experience working in a medical or scientific research setting or comparable technology orientated business environment preferred. Excellent organization and communication skills required. Strong interpersonal skills - ability to effectively interact with all levels of staff and external contacts. Must be detail oriented, have the ability to follow-through and to effectively manage time and prioritize workload. Must practice discretion and adhere to hospital confidentiality guidelines at all times. Must have computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office.
M-F 9:00am - 5:30pm.
