Study of genes associated with normal B-cell differentiation and neoplastic transformation of B cells at the cellular and molecular level. Research focuses on identification of survival pathways and associated rational therapeutic targets for major aggressive B-cell lymphomas. The successful candidate will work directly with a senior post-doctoral fellow and additional members of the multidisciplinary research group. The candidate should have a BS in a scientific field and wet lab experience including isolation of DNA and RNA, northern and western blotting, PCR, synthesis of relevant constructs utilizing genomic and cDNA clones, transfection, in vitro mutagenesis DNA sequence analysis, knockdown using siRNAs and shRNAs, standard immunologic assays, culture and manipulation of selected tumor samples, cell lines, and normal mononuclear and epithelial cells.
