The Center for Novel Experimental Therapeutics (C-NExT) is dedicated to accelerating the translation of basic research discoveries to the clinic. This will be accomplished by integrating the expertise and resources required to design and execute in vivo compound evaluation studies that will provide anti-tumor efficacy together with the full spectrum of biomarker data to inform responder patient populations and biomarker strategies. 

We are seeking a Cell Biology Lead who will provide scientific oversight to C-NExT’s ex vivo compound profiling activities as well as project management expertise for C-NExT projects.  The individual in this position will be an integral part of the C-NExT senior staff and report to the Head of Research.   The selected individual will be empowered to develop advanced ex vivo models highly related to the C-NExT in vivo models and to use these to provide mechanistic insights into the therapy and to inform in vivo experiments.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The responsibilities of the Cell Biology Lead will include, but not be limited to:

  SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Cell Biology Lead will supervise 1-2 technical staff.



Job Qualifications

 

Ph.D, MD or MD/Ph.D. with at least 8 years post-graduate experience developing and executing cell-based assays for evaluation of compound efficacy and mode of action.  Industry experience is strongly preferred, as is prior experience in the field of Oncology drug discovery, including design of in vivo experimental therapeutics studies.



Schedule

Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week
