The Assistant Director of Principal and Major Gifts will report directly to one or two Associate Directors of Principal and Major Gifts, and bear primary responsibility for building a pipeline and individual portfolio within one or more disease areas.  His/her primary focus will be on identifying, qualifying and soliciting prospects for major gifts of $10K+.  He/she will also focus on the tracking and moves management for major gift prospects newly identified within their assigned disease area(s)/program(s). 



Job Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with three to five years of Major Gift or leadership level Annual Fund experience required. Additionally, a strategic thinker with significant donor experience, excellent planning, verbal and written communication, and organizational skills are necessary. Effectiveness in working with wide audiences (including highest level of Dana-Farber constituencies) and strong customer service will be key. Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite required. Volunteer management experience preferred. Candidate with an entrepreneurial approach to fundraising desired.



Schedule

This is a full time position, Monday - Friday 8:30 - 5:00.  Some weekend and evening work may be required.
