In addition to our Longwood Medical Area-based services, patients have access to many aspects of Dana-Farber's care and resources in their local community through our satellite centers and affiliate sites (the DFCI Network). The Clinical Planning & Network Operations (CPNO) department provides business planning, project management, and implementation and operations support to the Institute and its network. The Business Development Manager will report to the Director of Business Development.

Responsibilities include:

Business and Strategic Planning

• Assemble sections of business plans with direction
• Create basic volume models; prepare data analyses with direction
• Conduct market research, with limited supervision
• Develop financial modeling and analysis
• Facilitate small workgroups to inform clinical planning processes
• Synthesize quantitative and qualitative information

Project Management

• Serve as project manager on 1-4 small to medium sized simultaneous projects
• Facilitate small workgroups; record action items, track status; document key decisions and progress toward goals
• Develop project work plans for review and manage key tasks/sections within the work plan, coordinating with other departments and identifying potential issues
• Populate and maintain status reports, issue and decision logs, and timelines
• Develop meeting materials (e.g., agendas, presentations, etc.) and other written materials with some supervision
• Schedule, attend, and/or facilitate meetings with stakeholders
• Collaborate with outside institutions and serve as a business partner for answering questions and fulfilling needs of external partners
• Utilize, and continue to improve and refine, a standard set of clinical project management tools

Operational

• Assist in the ongoing network clinical operations as requested (e.g. implementation of new programs, troubleshooting, etc.)
• Collaborate with colleagues on network operations data analysis, reporting, and volume presentations
• Provide functional support in departmental HR & Finance needs
