The Center for Community-Based Research (CCBR) at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is currently conducting research studies to promote cancer prevention and early detection in low-income communities in Massachusetts. We are currently seeking a full-time CCBR Research Assistant I to perform a variety of tasks to ensure that project goals are being met in a dynamic and fast-paced research environment.

The Research Assistant I may be responsible for the following:

  1. Assist team in coordinating and implementing project-related activities (i.e., surveys, interviews, education programs) at community-based study sites.
  2. Contact, recruit and enroll research participants.
  3. Interface with community liaisons; build community relationships.
  4. Maintain databases and project documentation.
  5. Maintain the security and confidentiality of all study materials and data.
  6. Conduct relevant literature searches and reviews as requested.
  7. Assist with documentation for and communication with the Institutional Review Board.
  8. Assist with coordination and preparation of project related meetings as requested and meeting minutes.
  9. Other project-related or administrative responsibilities as needed.


Job Qualifications

PATIENT CONTACT:Adult study participants.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Variable. This position is office and field-based. A driver's license and car is required (travel is reimbursed by DFCI). This position requires some weekend/evening flexibility.

Full-time; THIS IS A ONE YEAR FUNDED POSITION.
