Duties & Responsibilities - Over the past 25 years, our experienced General Surgery team has performed thousands of procedures at some of Boston's finest teaching hospitals. Today, we have recruited highly-regarded surgeons and nurses that are able to provide state-of-the-art care in our operating rooms. Our department has grown significantly, adding new surgeons who bring specialized care to our communities. Three of the new initiatives include a new minimally invasive surgery program, hepatobiliary and pancreatic program, and multidisciplinary breast center. We are currently seeking an experienced OR Registered Nurse to join our Cambridge Hospital OR Team. In this role you will provide quality care to patients and their families according to Cambridge Health Alliance standards of nursing practice. You will assess, plan, implement, and document patient care in a professional manner. This is a fast-paced, high-pressure, constantly changing environment. This RN position will be Monday - Friday, with call. It will consist of 10-hr shifts and 8-hr shifts (36-hpw) with flexible start times between 7 am - 10 am. Qualifications/Experience Qualified applicants will have a degree from an accredited school of nursing as well as current MA RN licensure. BSN strongly preferred. Newly hired RNs must have BSN. In addition, candidates are required to have 3-5 years recent OR experience with the capacity to scrub and circulate.
