Clinical assistant is responsible for direct patient care for patients with Breast, and Sarcoma Cancers on Yawkey 9. The role supports patients and families through the process of an exam and infusion visit. The CA's direct activities include obtaining vital signs, blood/bodily specimens, and assisting medical and nursing staff with procedures.
The CA must have a High School Diploma or GED and completion of a nursing assistant certification program, (CNA) or medical assistant program.
Hours of operation at DFCI are 7-8:30 pm. The hours are Mon-Fri, 40 hours/week.The shifts would be during hte later hours of operation.
