The HR Learning & Organizational Development Coordinator works closely with the learning specialists in support of the Institute's learning and skill development needs and is responsible for the administration of the learning process. The Coordinator will assist with course development, event support, curriculum and communication; ensures customer satisfaction; manages department budgeting and reporting.
Work in close collaboration with Director of Learning, Development and Inclusion, Learning and Organizational Development Specialists, other departments or external vendors to ensure effective development, coordination and delivery of learning initiatives.
Coordinate learning programs and projects, and contribute to learning strategy for Dana-Farber staff. Communicate and market courses to employees, ensure instructor and participant preparation, and follow-up.
Serve as central Learning Administrator for Dana-Farber's "myTalent" Learning Management System. Provide customer support. Assist integrating the LMS into the Institute's learning processes across all areas.
Provide course support for instructors. Assist L+OD colleagues with design for participant handouts and materials; assemble workshop manuals for learning programs; and any additional preparation work. Assist in gathering and analyzing metrics related to program delivery to show value and impact of the programs to the Dana-Farber community.
Coordinate L+OD budget. Oversee invoices from vendors to L+OD, request purchase orders and manage budget via PeopleSoft system.
Update and maintain L+OD intranet site to promote learning opportunities and L+OD services. Design marketing materials such as fliers, brochures and emails to publicize learning programs offered through L+OD/HR to the Dana-Farber community.
Perform other related duties as across Human Resources as needed or as circumstances arise.
Job Qualifications
Undergraduate degree. Degree in education, marketing, communications or a similar field preferred.
Minimum 3-5 years administrative experience.
Experience operating/administering a Learning Management System or similar application preferred.
Superior organizational skills and strong internal client relations within all levels of the Institute. Attention to detail, ability to work independently and accurately. Ability to keep multiple people's needs, and course or program deadlines, in mind at once.
Excellent communication and customer service skills over the phone, in writing and in person.
Excellent computer skills.
Proven ability to creatively design professional looking course handouts and promotional materials.
Ability to use various software packages: Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft. Ability to use online authoring tools such as Adobe Captivate or Articulate a plus.
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment.
Sense of urgency and flexibility.
