Job Responsibilities

We are seeking a cell culture research associate who will support institute functions and deliver quality work within specified timelines.

Support cell banking efforts; including cell characterization
Meticulous documentation and tracking of cell line information
Coordinate mycoplasma testing of cell lines and distribution of cells to researchers
Prepare RNA, DNA, and protein from cell lines and manage inventories for distribution to researchers
Contribute to project team as well as overall laboratory organization and safety
Perform other duties as required.

Job Qualifications

BS/MS in biological sciences or equivalent
3-5 years research experience in academic and/or pharmaceutical/biotech environment
In-depth knowledge and experience in mammalian cell culture
Team player with excellent communication skills
Judgment and skills to solve commonly encountered problems
Ability to excel in a goal-oriented, multifaceted and fast-moving team environment
Independent, self-motivated and innovative

Additional Skills

Experience with molecular biology, protein analysis, animal models, and in vivo procedures is desirable.
Experience with primary cell culture and development of cell lines from tissues is a plus.
