Job Description

PREVIOUS WORKING EXPERIENCE AS A MEDICAL ASSISTANT IS REQUIRED.Prepare patients for office visits; perform tasks including weight and height, vital signs, blood glucose check, medication list, and document information in patients chart. Process incoming and outgoing patient telephone calls and patient-related correspondence; organize and prioritize duties to optimize efficiency and promote positive patient outcomes. Requires knowledge of medical assisting normally associated with obtaining an Associates Degree in Medical Assistance coupled with National Certification as a Medical Assistant preferred. Minimum of six months of related work experience in Ob/GYN office ; ability to gather and interpret data in situations where the information or problems are not overly difficult or complex, multi-task skills, exchange information on factual matters, schedule appointments, assess and record vital signs in patients chart, explain policies and procedures, and relay patients need to appropriate personnel is required. This type of interaction requires courtesy and tact when dealing with patients and their families and /or health care system employees. Bi Lingual Bi Cultural prefered (spanish)
