We are the new Lowell General Hospital.
Transforming Healthcare in Greater Lowell
On July 1, 2012, Lowell General Hospital and Saints Medical Center become one combined organization. Together, we now serve the healthcare needs of our community as a single hospital with two primary campuses. Our dedicated employees and physicians are working together to expand the depth and breadth of needed services, from preventive care and wellness to the most advanced clinical services. We are also investing in our facilities2, including a historic $95 million expansion at our main campus.
Complete connected careSM in Your Community
Lowell General Hospital delivers a higher level of personalized care that’s second to none. We promise to exceed our patients’ expectations from the time they arrive at our door to when they leave—every way, every day. It’s compassionate care like no other.
The Heart of Lowell General Hospital: Our People
While the appearance of Lowell General Hospital may be changing, the heart of our organization – our dedicated people – remains the same. Our compassionate team of caregivers and employees are committed to our mission to Put Patients First in Everything We Do. Thanks to our team’s efforts, Lowell General continues to be recognized regionally and nationally for the quality of care we provide, as well as being a best place to work.
Named as one of the fastest growing hospitals by the Massachusetts Hospital Association, Lowell General offers a wide range of services that continue to expand to bring community health care to the next level.
A commitment by our leadership, physicians, staff and community, help us to achieve success as an independent, community hospital.
Named an ‘All-America City,' Lowell is located in the heart of the Merrimack Valley, the region ‘where Freedom began.' With its trolleys and canals in the city proper, Lowell still has remnants of the historic textile companies of the Industrial Revolution.
When you start to explore Lowell and its geography, you'll quickly see that Lowell is a unique city in a truly advantageous location. From Lowell, it is a short journey to the mountains of New Hampshire, the quaint scenery of Western Massachusetts, the excitement and history of Boston, and the vacation spots of the northern beaches or Cape Cod.
