Works with Occupational Health Coordinator and Manager to ensure coverage and oversight of pre placement screening, RSU physicals, annual requirements and urgent care injuries at both locations as needed. Actively manages Workers Compensation cases as directed by the Occupational Health Manager. Provides prevention education to employees and Occupational Health and Workers compensation education to leadership. Responsible for accurate data and record keeping of all Occupational Health information. Actively participates in committees as assigned by the Occupational Health Manager.
Great opportunity to join an efficient and effective, well functioning team! This position can be full time 40 hours or part time at 32, depending on the needs of the NP. The NP works with the clinical OHS team to provide services on the Roslindale campus. S/he will provid pre-employment screenings, triage and management of work related injuries, clinical management and first aid to injured employees, participate in Safety Committee, Ergonomic Committee, Infection Control Committee and related prograns to proactivekly minimize workoplace injuries and illness. THe NP is also the subject matter expert on fitness for duty and leave of absences issues, and consults with our benefits team on clinical issues when necessary.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current Massachusetts license as a Nurse Practitioner.
Computer literacy required.
Three to five years of experience including public health or occupational health, Workers compensation, Occupational Health Certification (preferred)
Annual completion of hazardous communication, infection control, fire safety and elder abuse.
