Job Description

This position coordinates and performs a variety of registration, communication and secretarial functions in the Emergency Department and Admitting department. Registers patients for hospital services using the hospital information system. Acts as the receptionist to patients, families, physicians and other hospital personnel. Qualified candidate will have a High School diploma or equivalent or level of knowledge equivalent to associate's degree in related field. At least 3 year's of experience is required and knowledge of insurance plan requirements, medical terminology and Meditech/MS Office required. Good interpersonal, phone, communication and organizational skills required. Must be able to work with detailed, confidential material and to work independently. Must be able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
