- Associates degree required
Performs all technical and mechanical aspects of Computerized Tomography and Radiology. Responsible for producing all CT Imaging on 2 brand new Philips 128 CT Scanners. Interacts directly with Radiology, Nuclear Medicine and Ultrasound departments to ensure efficient flow of patients.
Under the general direction of the lead CT technologist and reports to the CT Manager
Performs a wide variety of specific and specialized duties and procedures for hospital in/outpatients, in accordance with orders of physicians.
Possesses the knowledge of procedures and policies related to the CT department
Maintains accurate records regarding charging, contrast and allergy entry, metformin, radiation dose, contrast reactions and extravasations
Performs these duties using independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative.
Assumes responsibility for quality of work in designated area.
This position requires a high level of technical and informatics knowledge and skill, and the ability to work in close cooperation with members of a team of physicians, nurses and other technical staff.
The individual must be able to work in a fast paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle and prioritize multiple competing tasks and demands and to seek managerial assistance as appropriate.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
MA License in Radiography
ARRT in Radiography & CT with Associates Degree
Minimum of 2 year experience in CT Scan
BLS certification or become certified within 60 days of assuming position
Experience with IV placement for contrast injections
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:
Prior experience with Meditech, McKesson PACS and CR technology preferred.
