Job Description

Performs a variety of data entry and general registration functions for registration, payor notifications, pre-certification, bed assignment, transfer and discharge of patients. Must be a high school graduate. Knowledge of medical terminology and a typing speed of 35 WPM/ 95% accuracy required. Post high school education in business or liberal arts preferred. Prior experience in medical office or hospital is a must. Knowledge of medical insurance and demographic information required. Strong communication, typing and data entry skills required. Meditech and IDX a plus.
