The temporary HR Admin Support Associate will work as part of our HR Onboarding Team and will play an integral part to the onboarding of new employees into Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. He/She will provide customer services to new employees as they move through the onboarding process, they will be responsible for collecting and reviewing new hire paperwork, processing new hires within our applicant tracking system, and interacting with hiring managers through out the institute.
Onboarding of sponsored staff
Scheduling Occupational Health appointments for new employees
Ensure collection and administration of all paperwork in compliance with Federal and State laws
Administer background screen and I-9 forms
Attend Orientation weekly
Administers abbreviated orientation 3 times per week
Responsible for New Hire orientation list
Educate managers and staff on hiring and on boarding process
Serves as staffing team liaison to external applicants for inquires related to the application process
Administrative support on joint Onboarding projects
All other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, industrial relations or a related field is preferred.
This position requires 1-2 years of administrative/office experience. Experience working in a Human Resources Department is strongly preferred.
Familiarity with state and federal employment/labor laws and practices helpful.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.
Must possess excellent customer service skills and have a strong attention to detail.
Must possess the ability to problem solve and work in a fast paced, high volume environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office required.
Experience working with an Applicant Tracking System. PeopleSoft experience strongly preferred.
