To provide varying degrees of administrative support to Dana-Farbers Chief Clinical Research Officer/Interim Director, Center for Cancer Precision Medicine, and to the Thoracic Oncology department and Office of Clinical Research, which may include correspondence, filing, calendar management, overseeing subordinate support staff, acting as liaison with other Institute executives, developing policies and procedures, and independently completing projects as assigned.


Will provide knowledgeable and skilled general administrative support to senior executive and department.
Job functions range and are focused on administrative matters related to supporting the executive and the functions and needs of the department.

Duties to include advanced communications support, screening calls, triaging patient calls, and determining appropriate action in response to all inquiries.

Provides general administrative support, preparing documents and correspondence that may be highly confidential or politically sensitive in nature.

Edits PowerPoint presentations; plans and coordinates meetings, schedules travel and processes corresponding expense reporting for the executive.

Coordinates conferences or other group meetings. Participates in coordination of department/program activities and plans and coordinates administrative compliance-related actions.

Ensures reports and other documents are prepared in a timely manner.

Manages the executives calendar; triages issues as they arise; may act as the executives designee in specified areas as directed.


Bachelor's degree required.
2-3 years experience in an office setting required, preferably supporting a senior executive or professional group.
Experience working in an academic medical/scientific research setting or comparable technology-oriented business environment is highly preferred.
Excellent English language reading, writing, and speaking skills required.
Demonstrated ability to draft reports, correspondence and other administrative documents as needed.
Demonstrated ability to organize meetings and carry out complex scheduling required.
