Performs the primary function of a registered nurse in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of all assigned patients on the unit during his/her shift. Responsible for meeting the established standards of Nursing Practice, for managing all assigned personnel, supplies, and equipment of unit, and for promoting team work with all physicians and personnel of other departments.

Required: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and currently licensed in the State of Massachusetts. ACLS and Coronary Care Course or completion within one year from hire date. Desired: BSN, ACLS, Certified in Specialty Area.

Required: Registered Nurse with Basic Life Support Certification. Desired: Prior OR, acute care experience preferably in a fast-paced environment. (ER, ICU, PACU, SDC)

Must be able to stand and walk independently for 8-12 hours. Must have gross motor function of both hands and feet. Must have precise motor function of both hands. Must be able to reach, bend, lift, carry, push, and pull one third of the time. Must be able to lift 50 lbs or less unassisted and 51 or more lbs assisted. Must be sighted and able to distinguish colors.
