The Imaging Services per diem Radiologic Technologist (RT ) is responsible for all duties related to Image Capture, Image Management, Image Storage and Image Reporting: All duties are performed in accordance with the organizational vision and mission. RT maintains compliance with local, state, federal laws and all pertinent accrediting agencies.
Ensures that the body part being imaged corresponds with the clinical information from the order with accurate positioning of body part 100% of the time.
Ensures their lead marker with side (left or right) and initials is on all images; Uses at least 2 patient identifiers before imaging any patient; all images are transferred from the DR or CR reader to PACS are properly marked, with visible markers on each image and correctly orientated.
Selects accurate technical factors consistently so that images indicate the appropriate exposure index. Repeat rate is less than 5%.
All images are well organized and accepted by the radiology manager as acceptable reading quality images. RIS entries are completed accurately.
Demonstrates proper & consistent positioning & analysis for all scans most of the time independently without requiring assistance.
Two years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
Successful completion of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
MA State License
Must be available to work one day a week.
