The Pharmacy Compliance Technician will focus on maintaining regulatory compliance throughout the department. This includes state, federal, and accreditation governances. The Pharmacy Compliance Technician will be involved in audits, data analysis, coordinating training when applicable, and will have limited staffing responsibilities. Most shifts will be weekdays, occasional evening, weekend, and holidays as needed to support compliance initiatives. Registered pharmacy technicians assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory and maintaining patient records. Registered pharmacy technicians work only under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent. College courses desirable but not required. Minimum of 18 years of age.
Certification / License: Registration with the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician In Training Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB) highly preferred. Sterile Compounding Certification preferred, but not required.
Experience: Minimum 3 years experience as a pharmacy technician. Leadership experience required. Minimum 3 years experience with compounding required.
